on with this fiscal cliff. it's time to pay. it's not the republican party's fault. obama has been in office four years. he has doubled to the trillions of dollars in debt. host: are you a tea party supporter? caller: i'm not affiliated with the tea party, but i am tired of hearing them blame it, because i see the hard-working generation that are in their 60s that paid in and they are saying enough is enough, we are tired of you taking it out of our wallets. we are tired of crazy liberal laws being shoved down our throats. our rights are being taken away from us day after day and we are like zombies in this country. host: sumter, south carolina, william, a democrat. we're listening to your thoughts this morning on open phones. caller: i am a new listener and a veteran. i am trying to figure out what's going on. when people see that the fiscal cliff and all this other stuff i am trying to understand, how it came about, it was from all the money being spent on war. and i wanted to mention about the veterans. we are the backbone of this country in a sense. that's what they need to focus on more. hos

for senator mcconnell was running for reelection now may not work for house republicans. even if there is an agreement between speaker boehner and president obama, it is not clear it will be acceptable. host: david is on the phone from york, pennsylvania, republican line, good morning. caller: i'm calling from arkansas, actually. i am an attorney and i've tried to watch the actions of this president. i take into consideration the books he read and he uses the philosophers who taught him as he grew up. i really believe that based on the way he is trying -- that based on the way he has been trained, i think the president wants to go over the cliff because that will achieve the things he was buried he wants to break up the republican party. he wants to break its back and then he also wants to go over the cliff because he wants to have a financial crisis because if you look at the study, that is the only way he can really achieve the type of social and fiscal non-responsibility he wants to achieve. that is break the back of the economy and then we have a crisis. and then he will c

solution? caller: actually, no. i am a republican, not a rich one. i would be willing to give up the obama care. this health care system now, which is free, i would be willing to give up the credit card for congress. and president obama's credit card. let them give up some deductions. let them take spending cuts and be fiscally responsible. the pros and cons, i have seen people that do not pay in and get $1,000. but it does not matter how much we pay or take away, but there is still spending. i do not care what your income is, i am a real-estate agent. that is how i make a living. it is very important for a young couple, to put them in a home. to help them throughout the years. far as i'm concerned, president obama had unlimited spending dollars. host: how much does the mortgage deduction help you and your business? caller: it is extremely important. host: does it help your bottom line? do you think you do more sales? caller: yes, it does. it makes more people eligible. these kids, these couples, they work very hard to say about their money, their down payment. yes, it is very important. h
